在外研版必学五模块1，有如此一个句子：It doesn’t make much of a difference（那没什么非常大的差别）。老师在解说时，一般都把这个地策略过，也极少有论述这个短语的文章。“much of a +单数名词”是英语比较特殊的一种表达方法，在阅读中时常会见到。该词组多见于否定含义的句子，之前常常加too修饰。除此之外，这个可数名词一般理解为“形容词”的意思，much表示程度，理解为“非常，十分”的意思。比如：
much of a difference 理解为“有非常大差别的”
much of a coward理解为“非常胆怯的”
much of a risk理解为“十分危险的”
much of a gentleman 理解为“非常绅士的”
除此之外，much of a…还常常跟too连用，构成：“too much of a…”，比如：
